Pagoda — Privacy Policy

Pagoda is a private household automation assistant, not a public product. It is used only within a single household and has no general users. This page exists to satisfy Google's requirement that an app requesting Gmail access publish a privacy policy.

What Pagoda accesses

Pagoda connects to exactly one Gmail account, which it owns and operates itself, using the Gmail API with the gmail.modify OAuth scope (read, send, and mark messages — no permanent deletion). It does not request or access any other Google account, and no one outside the household can authorize Pagoda to act on their Gmail account.

How the data is used

Mail read from that account is used only to generate and send replies on the household's behalf. Message content may be sent to third-party language model providers in order to generate those replies. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any purpose unrelated to answering household mail.

Retention

Pagoda retains only what it needs to operate — recent message content and logs of its own actions. It does not maintain a public database or export data anywhere outside the systems it runs on.
